Notes

Notes are hidden pieces of paper which the Hero can collect throughout the game. There are 13 notes in total.

Each appears as a small paper scrap, but once collected can be viewed full size in the game menu, by selecting the "Notes" button. Any note that hasn't been found will appear as a question mark.

10		After repairing the Cartographer's elevator, take it down from the top, and walk right midway to the bottom. On the left is a thorny tree, and on the right there is a small ledge that can be stood upon. Interact with the right wall, and a passageway will open. Jump up to the platform to collect the note.

12		The Cartographer drops it once you lower the bridge and enter the Cartographer's house.

Achievement

There is an achievement in the GOG/Steam version of the game for collecting all notes.
