Chapters

Chapters are the sequence of the story, as well as the levels each character plays in. The game frequently changes from one character to another at the end of a chapter. To advance through each chapter players must solve puzzles, navigate complex areas, and defeat enemies.

At any time, players can pause and browse back to chapters they've completed previously. Completed chapters appear as filled-in circles, and chapters yet to be completed appear as empty circles.

Completed chapters are automatically saved. When exiting the game, progress is saved at the most recent checkpoint. Checkpoints for chapters played as the Hero are marked by lanterns or glowing orbs.

1			The game opens with The Girl, and the player must escape from her room through the vents and explore downstairs
2			This chapter introduces the hero, who must travel through the initial stage of the castle, and encounter the first slime and big slime enemies.	Scythe
3			The third chapter is the Old Man traveling down the steps from his top floor apartment. While he walks the narrator tells a story.
4			This chapter has the hero continuing through the castle, using the balista to open the area where the pickaxe is and finding a key to unlock the door where the lever is, which opens the gate by the cat to the first hunter.	Pickaxe Lever
5			This chapter has the hero defeating the Hunter by hiding, outrunning, and luring it into thorny brambles.
6			Introduces the knight, and he must fight his way past slimes to advance through the castle.
7			In this chapter the hero will meet both the Storyteller and the Cartographer as he climbs up the treehouse. He'll need to use the hooks and pullies to bring the fuel up to the Cartographer and refuel the generator. After doing that he'll give the hero the key to enter the mines in order to get some spider web.
8			The bridge is fixed and the Cartographer is back at home. The hero is on another quest to fix his elevator.
9			The hero meets the Storyteller who tells him stories.
10			This chapter starts in the girl's treehouse, and she needs to travel inside the house and find the rabbit which is hidden behind a large crate.
11			The hero enters the mine and meet the white fox the first time.
12			This chapter has the hero running away from the spiders and gets the Silk.	Silk
13			The knight must fight through a burning castle
14			This chapter has the hero defeating the second Hunter by outrunning, and luring it into trapdoor.	Valve Knife
15			The knight must fight through a slime pit.
16			The girl plays hide-and-seek with the rabbit. They think there are kids locked in the attic.
17			The hero follows the white fox and exiting the mine.
18			The hero finds the Black Heart and meets the Stranger.	Black Heart
19			The hero fixes the elevator and crashes into the top of the castle.
20			The girl has tea party with the rabbit and explores the attic. They think there is someone in the attic.
21			The hero fixes the trap door and finds a key to enter the castle.
22			If pushed the girl by the well, the hero saw the dark haired girlgets bullied and jumps off the castle.The hero gets very upset seeing the girl jumps off the castle and kept walking. Eventually, he gets back to the well again.
23			The hero is able to go to the backyard of the initial wooden house. Under the grave, there is the third hunter and the hand elevator. The hero outrun and outwits the hunter and gets to the top.	Hand Elvator
24			The knight must fight through a swamp.
25			The hero practices on he new tool and heading for the mine once again.
26			The hero reenter the mine with new area opened and new tools acquired. He was able to get much farther to the mountain.
27			If the cat was saved when encounter the first hunter, the cat's family can be seen in a cave on the mountainside. He then climbs up to the top and meets the white fox in the bridge.
28			The girl looks for the key to unlock the attic. Eventually, she finds it and enters the attic. There were no kids. The rabbit points out "there is no fireplace why is there a chimney?" The girl breaks into the chimney and finds lots of old toys and thinks she was one of the kidnapped kids.
29			The knight travels through snow defeating enemies.
