Editing Enemies

There are a variety of enemies in INMOST, each with their own strategy to defeat them.

While playing as The Man, the player has no ability to engage in combat - so they must use the environment around them to outwit and defeat enemies. When playing as The Knight, the player has a sword, and can more easily dispatch enemies head on.

|Slime
|The first enemy players encounter, it's a black gooey substance, and it's important to avoid touching it. It can drop from above, snap quickly across to strike players as they pass by, and also can block passageways.

While playing as [[Characters#The Hero|the man]], slime must be avoided.  While playing as [[Characters#The Knight|the knight]], slime must be dispatched with the sword.

In late-game, the man can remove slime walls that block passageways with the [[Tools|Black Heart]].

|Big Slime
|Big Slimes are made of the same dark material as regular slimes - but they are able to move toward and actively attack the player.

While playing as [[Characters#The Hero|the man]], Big Slime must be avoided.  While playing as [[Characters#The Knight|the knight]], Big Slime must be dispatched with the sword.

|Hunter
|The Hunter is encountered while playing as [[Characters#The Hero|the man]].  He must be outrun, and eventually dispatched with a steel-spike [[Puzzles|puzzle]].

|Spider
|Spiders can be found in the caves while playing as [[Characters#The Hero|the man]], and throughout [[Characters#The Knight|knight]] levels.  They can drop down from above on the player, climb walls, and chase the player.

While playing as [[Characters#The Hero|the man]], spiders must be avoided.  While playing as [[Characters#The Knight|the knight]], spiders must be dispatched with the sword.

|Rat
|Rats are deadly enemies encountered by [[Characters#The Knight|the Knight]].  They must be dispatched with the sword.

|Boar
|The boar can be found on the platform with the [[Characters#The Storyteller|Storyteller]].  It must be tricked into running into a thorny patch to be dispatched.

|Dark Man
|One Dark Man appears outside the door to the Girl's house when she tries to leave.

Another Dark Man can be found while playing as [[Characters#The Hero|the man]].  He must be lured onto a pressure button in a [[Puzzles|puzzle]] to collect a [[Tools|Valve]].  

Several Dark Men can be found in [[Characters#The Knight|Knight]] levels.  They have a variety of attacks, as well as the ability to use a shield.  They can be dispatched with the sword, either head-on or from behind when holding a shield.

|Bat
|Bats can be found flying around while playing as either the [[Characters#The Hero|man]] or the [[Characters#The Knight|Knight]].  

While playing as [[Characters#The Hero|the man]], bats must be avoided.  While playing as [[Characters#The Knight|the knight]], bats are easily dispatched with the sword.
